Michael Brown is currently concluding his final year at Flinders University in Adelaide, studying a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. He began working at SA Power Networks in 2016 as a university placement, which then led to a casual position in the engineering design and technical services team. For his honours thesis, he worked with SA Power Networks to investigate a risk-based approach to substation earthing for SAPN substations. The primary objective of this was to improve the current method in which SA Power Networks applies EG-0 by investigating substation fault frequencies.
